Electrical Panels

Electrical Panel Installation in Washington

Is my electrical panel safe? Our answers are always the same. What year was the house built? Also, have you ever had it inspected? If it has been 5 to 10 years and you have no record of any inspections, you owe it to yourself and your family to have it inspected. Along with inspections to assure your safety, there are also websites available to help rule out problematic panels.

Is My Panel Safe is a very helpful resource to help determine if your panel is safe or not. In the electrical industry, there are three panels that every electrical contractor will agree are the worst: Zinsco panels, Federal Pacific panels, and, of course, Fuse panels. All of which have been recalled due to extreme fire hazards. Electrical panels are the heart of your electrical system and are overlooked a lot of the time as being a simple “grey box.”

Handling Your Upgrades, Retrofitting, Repairs & Installations

There are 3 different panels that Seatown offers:

  • The first panel is a contractor grade panel. It has an aluminum housing and, more importantly, an aluminum bussing. This panel does not have an option for built-in whole home surge protection with limited 10-year manufacturer warranty.
  • The mid-grade CH copper buss panel is the upgrade from the aluminum option. This panel has a steel back pan, steel housing, silver plated copper bussing, and an industrial main breaker. This panel has a limited lifetime warranty on parts.
  • Finally, our top-of-the-line panel. We have done our research and Square D, GE, and Siemens do not stand up to the CH surge protector panel by Eaton. This panel is by far the industry’s top-of-the-line product. This panel comes with a silver plated copper bussing, steel back pan, steel housing, industrial main breaker, whole home surge protector built into the panel, extended neutral bars, flush mount cover, and this panel has a limited lifetime warranty on parts. There is a reason why it is named our premium panel.
